Chopped Baked Clams (La Monica)

Ingredients

1 tablespoon EVOO 1 Onion (chopped) 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 (6.5 ounce) can minced clams, with juice 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 egg beaten 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs 3 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Heat EVOO in a saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic in heated EVOO for 2-3 minutes. Stir in clams, oregano. Remove from heat and stir in beaten egg. Once combined, mix in breadcrumbs. Place into a baking dish and drizzle the melted butter on top. Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 375 temp. Serve warm with your favorite crackers.
